Salary: $45 / Hour

The School Registered Nurse (RN) plays a vital role in supporting the health and well-being of students within the school environment. This position involves applying the nursing process to deliver high-quality care, managing chronic conditions, responding to medical emergencies, and promoting a safe and healthy school setting. The RN also serves as a key liaison between families, school staff, and healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Provide direct nursing care to students in accordance with individualized health plans.

+ Monitor and manage chronic health conditions and administer medications as prescribed.

+ Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid as needed.

+ Collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers to support student health.

+ Maintain accurate health records and documentation.

+ Promote health education and wellness initiatives within the school community.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment.

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

+ School Nurse Certification , if required by state or contract.

+ One year of experience in school nursing, public health, or pediatrics preferred.

+ Current CPR certification (if applicable).

+ Completion of TB screening (questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray, as applicable).

+ Current Health Certificate (as required by contract or state regulation).

+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements .

+ Must be at least 18 years of age .

+ Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice .
