    Job Description:

    JOB SUMMARY

    The Network Engineer I is responsible for maintaining the day-to-day operation of computer networks for Marshfield Clinic Health System. This individuals primary duties include maintenance and administration of network hardware, software and other related components.

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

    _For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation._

     

    **Minimum Required:** Bachelor’s degree in an IT related field **or** Associate Degree in an Information Technology field **and** two years of relevant work experience **or** four years of relevant work experience and a current industry or technology certification.

    The experience indicated above must be in networking in an enterprise environment for one or more of the following technologies:

    + Cisco Network Routing and Switching

    + Network Monitoring and troubleshooting tools

    + Cisco Wireless LAN controllers

    **Preferred/Optional:** Experience with Palo Alto or Cisco Firewalls and Network Load Balancers.

    CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES

    _The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position._

     

    **Minimum Required:** Vendor certifications may be required. Applicable state valid driver’s licenses with an acceptable driving record.
