    Job Summary

    As a member of a Service Desk team, you will provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users. You will serve as the first point of contact for AEP employees and contractors seeking technical assistance.

    Job Description

    What You'll Do:

    + Respond to incoming support requests via phone, email, or chat in a timely manner.

    + Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.

    + Document all interactions and resolutions in the service desk ticketing system.

    + Escalate complex issues to higher-level support teams as necessary.

    + Provide guidance and training to end-users on software and hardware usage.

    + Monitor and follow up on open tickets to ensure timely resolution.

    + Assist in maintaining knowledge base articles and FAQs for common issues.

    + Participate in service improvement initiatives and contribute to team goals.

    What We're Looking For:

    **Education:** Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field is required. An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered.

    **Experience:** In addition to any experience required above, 8 years' technical or relevant work experience is required.

    + Previous service desk support experience

    + Strong customer service experience

    + Ability to work second shift a plus (We are hiring for first and second shifts)

    Compensation Grade:

    Compensation Range:

    $40.90-51.13 USD

     

    The Physical Demand Level for this job is: S – Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (Occasionally: activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently. (Frequently: activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
