    Degree Requirements** **Degree Preferences

     

    BS GIS, Engineering Technology or related 2 year degree acceptable, Experience will make up for degree

     

    Work as member of EMC design (including field design & staking) to design distribution engineering in compliance with National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) and utility standards. May be required to support fielding for GPC grid programs as needed

     

    Occasionally conduct field assessments and pole surveys to evaluate existing conditions and pole loading capacity.

     

    Utilize design software and GIS tools to create detailed construction drawings and layout plans.

     

    Analyze pole loading, clearance requirements, and make-ready conditions for new attachments.

     

    Prepare make-ready engineering (MRE) documentation, bills of material (BOM), and work packages for construction crews.

     

    Ensure adherence to permitting requirements, safety standards, and right-of-way constraints.

     

    Track project progress and maintain accurate records and data for compliance and reporting.

     

    Candidate will be required to participate in emergency storm response throughout the year when needed.

    Position Details:

    + Pay Rate / Range:__$21-$24______________________
