We are looking for a talented Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our growing team. You must have the ability to work on complex products and to work collaboratively and flexibly across several inter-disciplinary teams.
Requirements
+ Responsible for performing tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, and management of materials, account maintenance, supplies and equipment.
+ Point of contact for all In-bound/Outbound shipment materials and instruments.
+ Receive, unpack, and or examine incoming and outgoing shipment contents and compare with records such as , work order, invoice, packing list or purchase order to verify accuracy and correct discrepancies
+ Verify receipts for proper shipment, shortages, damages, or defects and coordinate resolution of discrepancies
+ Prepare documents, such as packing lists, bills of lading, or shipping orders to route materials, manifest, and inbound paperwork.
+ Take ownership in resolving issues involving proper receipt and shipment of materials, packages, and instruments.
+ Take ownership of the receipt and transfer of materials to proper location.
+ Expedite material to proper department or storage location as necessary
+ Assist with shipping and crating as required to include the use of power tools to construct instrument shipping crates
+ Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes.
+ Contact carrier representatives to decide or to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials and Instruments
+ Maintains a clean and organized work environment in the warehouse and work area,
+ Deliver all original paperwork to Accounting daily
+ Operate warehouse equipment, to include forklift(s), as necessary
+ Other Duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications
+ High school diploma or equivalent
+ Three years shipping and receiving or related experience preferably in a manufacturing environment
+ Proficient in using a computer with strong MS Office skills (Outlook, word, Excel)
+ Ability to utilize basic math skills including fractions and decimals required
+ Ability to use and read tape measure, calipers, and scale
+ Ability to operate forklift and pallet jack following all safety rules is required
+ Basic knowledge of the use of hand and power tools (i.e., drills, hand saws, table saw etc.) is a plus
+ Self-motivated team player with the ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
+ Maintain the highest standards of organizational and individual behavior including taking responsibility for own actions and comply with all laws and regulations
+ Possess effective organizational and time management skills and consistently meet all deadlines.
+ Be detail oriented while managing competing priorities.
+ Ability to work collaboratively with others and foster cooperative relationships and credibility at all levels of the organization
+ A solution minded approach to addressing issues, challenges, and personnel disagreements.
+ Valid California driver license and acceptable driver record required
+ Must be able to work overtime as necessary
