    Position Title: Senior Operational Analyst

     

    Clearance Requirement: Active TS/SCI

     

    Employment Type: Full-Time, Monday–Friday (40 hours/week)

     

    We are seeking an experienced and mission-focused Senior Operational Analyst to provide high-level operational planning, coordination, and readiness support to a nationally critical defense organization. This position will support senior staff and subordinate units across a range of activities tied to operational execution, training integration, and strategic communications. The selected candidate will operate as part of a multidisciplinary team tasked with enhancing operational effectiveness through structured analysis, staff integration, and knowledge management practices.

    Responsibilities

    Operational Support & Synchronization

     

    + Assist in the development and execution of plans related to training, mobilizations, and operations in coordination with staff and mission partners.

    + Facilitate planning and documentation of regular operational meetings and working groups using secure and non-secure platforms.

     

    Document Management & Communication

     

    + Receive, review, and organize official operational communications and taskings; maintain orderly digital and physical knowledge repositories.

    + Ensure compliance with security protocols governing Controlled Unclassified and Classified Information.

     

    Product Development & Review

     

    + Draft, refine, and maintain written materials such as standard operating procedures, training briefs, task orders, reports, and presentation materials.

    + Review and provide professional input on internal and external operational documents to ensure quality and mission alignment.

     

    Interagency Coordination

     

    + Liaise with partner organizations and agencies, providing operational insight and representing the organization’s interests in meetings, conferences, and planning forums.

    + Track and support coordination activities and decision-making processes across multiple levels of command.

     

    Training & Readiness Systems

     

    + Support the maintenance and utilization of internal readiness and training tracking tools in alignment with organizational requirements.

    + Facilitate access and usage of platforms relevant to training coordination, medical readiness, ammunition planning, and resource scheduling.

     

    Compliance & Evaluation Preparation

     

    + Assist in the preparation for inspections, audits, and readiness evaluations by supporting planning, documentation, and tracking efforts.

     

    Strategic and Technical Leadership

     

    + Lead or contribute to the development of operational frameworks, concept documents, after-action reviews, and analytical assessments.

    + Prepare and deliver executive-level briefings and decision-support materials for leadership.

    Requirements

    Minimum Qualifications

    + Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.

    + Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; Master’s degree preferred.

    + Minimum 8–10 years of military or defense operations experience, with significant exposure to brigade-level or higher operations and planning.

    + Demonstrated experience supporting military training readiness, mobilization, and operational planning.

    + Expert proficiency in MS Office Suite, SharePoint, and operational planning tools.

    + Strong understanding of classified information handling and operational security requirements.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Prior experience working with or supporting missile defense units, particularly the 100th MDB or similar commands.

    + Familiarity with Army systems such as DTMS, TAMIS, RFMSS, and MEDPROS.

    + Experience drafting official military correspondence, briefings, and operational reports.

    + Strong interpersonal skills and experience interacting with senior military leadership.

    Travel Requirements

    + Must be willing to travel within the Continental United States (CONUS) as required to support operational planning meetings, conferences, and training events.
