    Position Opening: Clerical Specialist II

     

    Salary: $34,348 yearly plus full benefits

     

    F/T Position: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

    Job Purpose:

    This position provides clerical support for the coordination and execution of day-to-day work associated with the central mailroom. The selected candidate will assist with a variety of tasks including mail delivery, data entry, scanning, and filing of both physical and electronic documents.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    + Receive, sort, and deliver mail and ensure prompt delivery to the intended recipients

    + Timely pick-up and delivery of inter-office mail, materials, and office supplies to units located in both the main office and outlying buildings using a hand truck (occasionally in adverse weather conditions)

    + Process both paper and electronic documents and attach to corresponding case file using our in-house case management software

    + Telephone communication with other units, the public, and law enforcement agencies

    + Handle confidential matters with the utmost discretion

    + Assist with restocking office supplies

    + Other duties as assigned by the Support Staff Supervisor

    Qualifications:

    + High School degree and some previous clerical or secretarial experience

    + Excellent communication and organizational skills

    + Excellent time management skills and ability to meet daily deadlines

    + Detail oriented

    + Ability to lift files boxes weighing up to 40 pounds

    + Ability to walk up to 4 hours per day while performing mailroom duties and outdoor courier routes
