    Job Description:

    We are searching for the best talent to join our team in the Sr Manager, Global R&D Communications role! This position can be based in our New Brunswick NJ, Titusville NJ or Spring House PA office location on a hybrid schedule.

     

    **Purpose:** This position supports the implementation and integration of the employee communications strategy for the global Research and Development organization, while also providing leadership communications support for the Executive Vice President (EVP), Innovative Medicine, R&D, and broader R&D leadership team. This position will also support major communications activations surrounding priority business achievements partnering across regional and global teams to help bring campaigns to life through strategic storytelling, reinforcing the company’s narrative of leading where medicine is going. This highly visible role will help to inform, inspire and engage the global Innovative Medicine R&D employees through the planning and execution of Town Halls, organizational communications and culture initiatives with a focus on analytics and continuous improvement. This individual will also collaborate closely with our global network of enterprise communications teams and business partners to help bring the innovation strategy and priority pipeline breakthroughs to life across internal and external channels.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Drive the implementation of the global R&D organizational and external engagement plans, including the planning and execution of meetings and forums to ensure colleagues around the world are kept informed about business and functional priorities, and stay connected as a unified team.

    + Play an active role in global communication initiatives and strategic projects, as needed, including writing, digital/video planning, key message and presentation development, research and event coordination for internal/external speaking engagements.

    + Develop communication strategies that celebrate and encourage employees to live our R&D culture and Our Credo values, ensuring systematic, efficient and consistent messaging and engagement planning across the organization.

    + Conceptualize and support implementation of new communications programs and content to drive R&D’s business priorities and increase awareness of key initiatives.

    + Maintain active partnerships and strategic alignment with Innovative Medicine and Enterprise Communications teams to ensure seamless collaboration around major business achievement activations and campaigns.

    + Plan and support production of leader-focused campaigns and events, including serving as a liaison to numerous sites as needed.

    + Lead sizable communications budget, agency partners and consultants.

    Education

    + Bachelor’s degree is required with a preference of study in the areas of Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism or closely related field

    Experience/Skills

    + Minimum of eight (8) years of experience leading communications in a company, NGO, government agency or public relations agency is required.

    + Proven track record of successful organizational communications, employee engagement, corporate communications, and/or public relations.

    + Demonstrated ability to craft compelling stories, with outstanding written, oral and visual communications abilities is required.

    + Ability to maintain perspective and bring positive attitude and courage to partnership discussion is preferred.

    + Professional maturity and ability to work effectively across levels, functions, regions and backgrounds is preferred.

    + Proven track record to build deep, authentic successful relationships with business partners is required.

    + Exhibits expertise in influencing business strategies and ensures alignment and impact of the strategic engagement plan.

    + Experience within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry is preferred.

    + Outstanding project manager with a focus to details and ability to course-correct as issues arise.

    + Experience in managing budgets and schedules is required.

    + Understanding of digital and social platforms is preferred.

    Other

    + 15% domestic and international travel is required.

    The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

    The base pay range for this role is $120,000 to $207,000.

    Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

    Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees and/or eligible dependents are eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance. Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)). This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.
