JOB SUMMARY:
The Information Services Program in Tallahassee, FL is seeking a Systems Project Analyst with exceptional technical, analytical, and collaborative skills. The incumbent will be a team lead for the Configuration, Change, and Release Processes.
Configuration Management establishes and maintains the integrity of information about identified services, service components and Configuration Items (CIs) across the service lifecycle. Configuration Management identifies, manages, and verifies the information about relationships between CIs, as well as the relationships between CIs and the service components they support.
Change Management controls the Lifecycle of all Changes. The primary objective of Change Management is to enable beneficial Changes to be made with minimum disruption to IT Services. The Process ensures that Requests for Change are recorded, reviewed, prioritized, assessed, planned, approved, implemented and evaluated in a controlled and consistent manner.
The Release and Deployment Management process protects the integrity of the Production environment by ensuring that authorized new or changed services that the Organization plans to implement has been verified against the agreed Release acceptance criteria prior to implementation.
The incumbent may be responsible for code enhancements and corrections to existing applications as well as developing new applications in support of the Configuration, Change, and Release processes. They will work closely with the team to determine requirements for new software systems. The incumbent will need to write technical specifications and perform unit testing. This position will assist technical leads as well as train team members. This position will require someone willing to learn quickly and can work effectively with a team. The applicant will need excellent communication skills and be comfortable working with diverse business processes.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
+ *Four (4) years of experience in computer systems analysis and/or computer programming.
SUBSTITUTIONS:
+ A bachelor's degree from a college or university with a major in one of the computer sciences or in management information systems can substitute on a year for year basis for the required work experience.
+ A computer science or management information system related certification can substitute for up to 2 years of experience.
PREFERENCES:
+ Experience in O365 environment
+ Experience with ticketing and information tracking systems
+ Experience with source code configuration and source version management tools
+ Experience developing and documenting requirements for IT projects and/or systems development
+ Experience with writing, reading, and interpreting technical specifications.
SPECIAL NOTES:
+ Position located in Tallahassee, Florida.
+ This position is not eligible for telework.
SALARY: The tentative salary for this position is $56,001.60
