This position is located in Tallahassee, Florida
Position Overview and Responsibilities:
The Division of State Lands (DSL) is seeking a highly motivated individual with strong planning and organizational skills for a full-time (40 hours per week), OPS Government Operations Consultant II position.
This position provides support to the DSL budget section.
+ Supports budget team in coordination efforts with various internal program areas and external agencies.
+ Provides assistance to analyze, maintain and reconcile data to monitor the land acquisition process and identifies areas of concern and recommends solutions.
+ Assists with the development of monthly reports on lands acquired and expenditures of land acquisition programs utilizing the Qlik app.
+ Performs a quality assurance review of closed land acquisition activity records to ensure the accuracy and integrity of information and prepares the monthly land acquisition closing report.
+ Identifies discrepancies between database information and records and provides recommendation for changes or improvements.
+ Compiles the monthly Land Acquisition Report (LAP), consisting of data review and working with the Bureau of Real Estate Services staff on correcting any identified discrepancies.
+ Compiles the monthly Acquisition Activity Report.
+ Completes the quarterly Delegations of Authority report for the Bureau of Real Estate Services.
+ Additional tasks in support of budget team as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
+ Best Management Practices for office management.
+ Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
+ Solid understanding of financial principles
+ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
+ Conduct and coordinate various planning and research projects simultaneously.
+ Prepare reports and records.
+ Collect, evaluate and analyze data to develop alternative recommendations, solve problems, document workflow and other activities relating to the improvement of operational and management practices.
+ Organize data into logical format for presentation in reports, documents and written materials.
+ Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
+ Understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
+ Determine work priorities and ensure proper completion of work assignments.
+ Solve problems and make decisions.
+ Utilize problem solving techniques.
+ Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
+ Work independently.
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience using Microsoft Excel at an intermediate level or higher.
Maintain a Valid Driver’s License.
Pay:
$23.00 hourly
