    MRI/CT Tech Assistant

    Join our close-knit, team-oriented imaging department! As a Tech Assistant, you’ll support certified technologists in providing high-quality MRI and CT services. This part-time role is perfect for someone dependable, compassionate, and eager to contribute to exceptional patient care.

    Responsibilities:

    + Greet patients upon arrival, assist with paperwork, and ensure accurate documentation.

    + Answer departmental phone calls, addressing scheduling, questions, and patient history.

    + Escort patients to dressing areas and assist as needed.

    + Conduct MRI safety screenings per established procedures and provide completed forms to the technologist.

    + Assist with patient lifting and transfers to and from exam tables.

    + Establish IV access for contrast administration following department protocols.

    + Assist with preparation of oral contrast and provide patient instructions under the direction of the technologist.

    + Properly pad, position, center, and align patients and equipment for imaging under technologist guidance.

    + Monitor patients during exams when applicable (e.g., telemetry monitoring).

    + Provide discharge instructions as directed by the technologist.

    + Report equipment issues promptly to the technologist or supervisor.

    + Support quality control by assisting with daily and weekly QC testing per department standards.

    + Transport patients to and from the imaging unit as needed.

    + Clean and prepare exam rooms according to infection control and procedural guidelines.

    REQUIRED:

    + High school diploma or equivalent.

    + 1 year minimum of previous healthcare experience

    Preferred:

    + Medical terminology and recent medical/imaging office experience preferred.

    + IV insertion experience preferred. **Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:**

    + CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire

    + Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
