    Are you a second-year Imaging or Radiology student looking to get hands-on experience while maintaining a flexible schedule?

     

    UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital is seeking a casual Imaging Services Student Tech to join the Womens Imaging team in Oakland!

     

    The Imaging Services Student Tech will be able to work a flexible, rotating schedule to accommodate their school schedule!

     

    + Minimum of one 8-hour shift required per month.

    + Daylight hours available, along with evening hours on Wednesdays!

    + Shifts available Monday through Saturday!

    + No travel, holidays, or on-call required!

     

    The Imaging Services Student Tech may perform imaging procedures at a technical level under the supervision of a Registered Technologist, incorporating learning and education with the performance of tasks to assist Technologists in their responsibilities.

     

    The Magee-Womens Imaging Department is a large, 140-person operation with 13 locations across the Greater Pittsburgh area! This is a great opportunity for students to gain valuable, hands-on experience while enhancing their education!

    Responsibilities:

    + Arrive patients, track exams, scan scripts, and schedule exams in the Radiology Information Systems.

    + Assist Radiologist and Technologist in performing modality specific exams.

    + May utilize complex imaging equipment and complete procedures under the supervision of a Radiologist or Technologist.

    + May perform daily equipment inspections, warm up procedures, and follow Quality Control Program under supervision of a Technologist.

    + Assist Radiologist and Technologist in setting up contrast, however, will never be responsible for loading or priming the injector.

    + Obtain quality images while following radiation safety standards and protocols.

    + Assist with positioning and performing exams, but will never hold the detector or patients for radiation procedures.

    + Must be an active 2nd-year student in ARRT, ARDMS, CNMT, or NMCTB approved school.

    Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

    + Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

    + Act 34
