DUTIES:This is a technical administrative position responsible for planning and coordinating the construction, renovation, and improvement of District buildings and grounds. Oversee project development, bid processand construction phase by coordinating meetings with project architects and contractors. Interface with State Education Department to ensure compliance with all state regulations and to maximize building aid. Develop project budgets and ensure project adherence to budget. Coordinate with building administrators and staff to develop project specifications. Oversee Building Condition Survey and develop capital plansto address infrastructure needs identified. React to facilities emergencies and assist in developing solutions. Assist in performing NYS annual fire inspections and six-month AHERA asbestos walk-through inspections.Assist the Director of School Facilities as needed including furniture purchases, office/classroom relocation and addressing facility issues.SALARY:Competitive, per Rush-Henrietta Administrators’ contractLOCATION:Facilities DepartmentTransportation & Operations Center1133 Lehigh Station RoadHenrietta, NY 14467QUALIFICATIONS:MUSTcurrently hold the title of School Construction Inspector or be reachable for appointment from the current Civil Service list for School ConstructionORhavea Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, or a closely related field plus 4 years of experience in building construction projects, 2 years of which must have been as a job superintendent, architect, or architect’s field representative. MUSTtake the next appropriate Civil Service exam and be reachable for appointment from the resulting list. Licensed architect preferred. Proficient in AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, Microsoft Project & Excel. Familiar with ADHERA, ADA, IBC, SED Planning Standards & Requirements, and NYSED Fire Safety and Code Inspections.
