    Job Description:

    Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) Metropolitan Area Regional Office (MARO)

    Administrative Assistant– Temporary Services

    This position will function under the direction of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) Metropolitan Regional Area Office (MARO) Public Health Representative 1 (PHN 1). The main purpose of this position will be to assist the PHN I in the preparation for, and conducting of, Program Reviews and Corrective Action Plans (CAP). The Administrative Assistant will also aid the PHN’s in preparation and conducting of CACFP sponsor training.

     

    60% Maintain and evaluate accuracy and completeness of documentation received from sponsors emails/scans/fax or mailed CACFP Sponsoring organizations scheduled for a program review.

     

    •Contact MARO\CACFP Sponsoring Organizations by telephone, mail or e-mail to schedule program reviews and request all required documents necessary to conduct a program review.

    •Prepare program review scheduled letters to be mail to sponsors.

    •Prepare program review worksheet for Public Health Nutritionist, Secretary, Accountant, Health Program Administrator (HPA) and CACFP Director.

    •Review documentations submitted by Sponsoring Organizations and evaluate for accuracy and completeness in accordance with the standards of federal and state regulations.

    •Follow up with sponsoring agencies via phone/email for all missing/requested documents.

    •Evaluate documents received (meal counts, attendance, and income applications) for Program Review and Corrective Action Plans.

    •Prepare a preliminary report of findings for the PHN I to conduct the review or assess the Corrective Action Plan.

     

    35% Assist in the preparation and conducting of regional CACFP Sponsor trainings that are in person. Provide guidance to sponsor on where and how to register for virtual trainings. Set up conference rooms and operate Webex for staff meetings.

     

    •Prepare materials necessary to conduct scheduled in person sponsor training and staff meetings.

    •Setup necessary training and meeting location when required.

    •Secure training attendance and evaluation records to forward to trainer and central office.

     

    5% Perform other tasks as assigned, related to CACFP.

     

    This position will not supervise. This position does not require travel.
