Responsibilities Plans/directs/implements in-plant quality assurance programs for contracts assigned to the Contract Management Office (CMO). Guides/motivates/oversees subordinates with a focus on project/program issues. Assumes ownership of processes and products as appropriate. Resolves diverse, highly complex problems across multiple areas and disciplines. Uses innovative approaches to resolve unusual/difficult issues that significantly impact important policies/programs. Anticipates problems, then develops solutions/action plans to ensure program/mission success. Completes multiple project/programs goals within established guidelines. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications To qualify for a Supervisory Quality Assurance Specialist position your resume and supporting documentation must support: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify for the NH-03 level, specialized experience must be at the NH-02, GS-11, or equivalent level under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Creditable specialized experience includes: Providing technical advice to implement contractor manufacturing, quality assurance processes, and systems that impact product quality. Implementing continuous improvement techniques on contractor performance to ensure contractual compliance. Education Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
