    *WIRE OPERATIONS LEAD*

     

    WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

     

    Processes outgoing domestic and international US dollar and foreign currency wire transfers within the same day, meeting the Federal Reserve deadline of 3:00 pm. Uses a PC to enter data into proprietary software. Verifies the information entered is accurate. Authenticate wire requests by validating the initiator and confirming wire transfer specifics with an authorized representative of the account. This is done by calling the client. Entry and callbacks are generally performed as separate functions. Responsible for maintaining operational integrity of funds transfers through adherence to Bank policies and procedures. Maintains our philosophy of excellent customer service by deploying our first in, first out process. .

     

    WHAT WILL YOU DO?

     

    * Enters data of fax-initiated wire transfer requests into proprietary software

    * When performing callbacks, colleague must be able to quickly assess the client situation and take appropriate action to ensure wires meet the daily deadline.

    * Verifies data entered by entry processor.

    * Verifies authorization (signature restrictions/signature).

    * Calls back authorized signer/representative to authenticate written instructions.

    * Releases the wire for payment.

    * Escalates any suspicious wires to supervisors for review.

    * Meets minimum production standards for the function.

    * Complies fully with all Bank Operational and Credit policies and procedures as well as all regulatory requirements (e.g. Bank Secrecy Act, Know Your Client, Community Reinvestment Act, Fair Lending Practices, Code of Conduct, etc.).

    * Completes all required training.

    * Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

     

    WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

     

    *Required Qualifications**

    * Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

    * 3+ years wire processing experience

    *Additional Qualifications*

    * Position requires demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in all wire functions.

    * Position requires incumbent to be detail and process oriented, work with numbers comfortably, follow specific written and/or verbal wire instructions, and complete repetitive steps while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and the integrity of the data.

    * Proficient in typing/word processing

    * Must be able to prioritize work efficiently, act with a sense of urgency to meet daily deadlines, and communicate effectively with clients via phone to authenticate wire transfer requests.

    * Colleague must be proficient in entry of wire transfers prior to performing callback function
