About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Ad Tech Sales to join our team in New York City. This pivotal role will focus on driving advertising revenue by identifying, building, and cultivating strategic relationships within the ad tech ecosystem. The ideal candidate is an outgoing, personable, and sharp negotiator with a proven track record in ad tech and sales. You will play a key role in building and scaling our ad sales team, contributing to team structure, support functions, and go-to-market strategies.
Key Responsibilities
+ **Relationship Building:** Identify, develop, and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the ad tech industry to drive advertising revenue growth.
+ **Revenue Generation:** Strategize and execute sales initiatives to meet or exceed revenue targets through partnerships and direct sales efforts.
+ **Team Leadership:** Collaborate in building and scaling the ad sales team, providing guidance on hiring, training, and team structure.
+ **Strategy Development:** Contribute insights and expertise to shape go-to-market strategies, optimize sales processes, and enhance support functions.
+ **Negotiation:** Lead high-stakes negotiations with partners and clients to secure favorable terms and maximize revenue opportunities.
+ **Market Expertise:** Stay informed on ad tech trends, competitors, and emerging technologies to position the company as a leader in the space.
+ **Cross-Functional Collaboration:** Work closely with marketing, product, and tech teams to align sales strategies with company goals.
Qualifications
+ **Experience:**
+ Minimum of 7+ years of experience in ad tech sales or related fields, with a strong understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem.
+ Proven track record in sales, with demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
+ Experience in building or scaling sales teams is highly desirable.
+ **Skills:**
+ Exceptional negotiation and deal-closing skills.
+ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
+ Strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
+ Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
