Job Summary

We are seeking a Graduate Electrical Engineering Designer for our St. Louis location.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities:

+ Design basic electrical systems in conformance with code requirements and in coordination with other MEP disciplines, including Fire Protection and Architecture.

+ Coordinate with the designs of other trades (architectural, engineering / internal, and external) under the guidance of more senior technical staff.

+ Create basic designs under the direction of the senior engineer.

+ Learn drawing organization and company standard.

+ Support the design and engineering efforts of systems for new installations, system retrofits, system replacement, and system upgrades for a wide variety of projects and project types.

+ Take ownership of the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of the work assignments.

+ Assist engineers with field investigations and construction site visits to observe and attend project coordination meetings.

Qualifications:

+ ABET-accredited Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.

+ 0-3 years' experience, preferably in an Engineering/Consulting/Design Firm environment.

+ Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) or Engineer in Training (EIT) preferred.

+ Fundamental experience with performing engineering calculations, and developing and implementing electrical lighting, power, and special systems designs.

+ Strong verbal and written skills- ability to interface with colleagues, clients and external partners.

+ Ability to travel as for client development and project execution.

+ Previous Engineering Internship Preferred.

+ MS Office Suite Proficiency: AutoCAD and Revit experience is preferred.
