Purpose:
This role will perform test activities on operational projects such as HMA, KMA, HACC and KCI. The Sr. QA Engineer will be responsible for test specification, test environment design, and execution of tests, and evaluation of designs, analysis, testing, and control of major testing projects where creativity and initiative are involved as well as a high level of independent judgment.
Essential Functions:
+ Provide technical leadership for Wireless/Telematics test and measurement development activity.
+ Perform complex design analysis.
+ Develop validation designs (including automated test systems).
+ Design and balance system test procedures.
+ Analyze requirements, provide feedback on missing business flows and designs
+ Converting design specifications and related requirements into test cases with expected results
+ Document and execute test plans and test cases, track and publish results
+ Coordinate staff and execution to meet production intent product timing deadlines.
+ Communicate, coordinate, and consult with engineering departments and suppliers.
+ Working closely with test leads to provide the test case execution and test case writing status. Design and implement automated tests, drive measurable improvements in automation capabilities against established goals
+ Test scripts creation and execution using JMeter and Selenium
+ Modify test automation scripts and test case data, execute automated tests, analyze and leverage results to drive improvements
+ Reviewing BRD documents and Service specs to write test scenarios and test cases
+ Providing project status reports with test case execution and defect bug list
+ Engage constructively with other team members to achieve business goals
+ Demonstrate ability to learn and train others in the use of our QA tools and processes
+ Contribute to project planning, estimating, and progress tracking
+ Interact directly with customers when needed to better understand their workflows and issues
+ Stay abreast of new technology and competitive products in the field of communications technology.
Basic Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field
+ 6+ years of experience in development, test engineering and test management.
+ 5+ years in API testing and back-end testing
+ 5+ years in a similar role supporting and interfacing with senior management.
+ Experience creating test plans, test cases, test scripts and test reports.
+ Basic skills with test automation products (JMeter, Selenium Web and Mobile testing.
+ Experience with an OO programming language (Java, C/C++), any scripting language, and database/SQL development
+ Experience with the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
+ Understand and Information System Audit best practice
+ Strong understanding of circuit switched and packet switched connections.
+ Strong understanding of the theory and principles of operation of the Internet and packet data protocols.
+ Understanding of server and client APIs and writing API test scripts.
+ Demonstrated ability to root cause software failures.
+ Proven skills in product validation.
+ High-level analytical ability where problems are unusual and complex.
+ Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills to work effectively with business partners to meet mutual goals.
+ Experience in Wireless network operations, preferred
+ Experience in the Telematics industry, preferred.
Salary Range: $96,550 to $138,061
