Where You’ll Work
This position is based in our Lenexa, Kansas office. We leverage a hybrid working model working three days in the office, two days optional remote work.
What You’ll Do The Data Acquisition Analyst role is accountable for gathering, organizing, and validating large datasets from various sources to support our data programs that create data-driven decision-making capabilities for our member hospitals. This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of our data, which will directly impact the quality of insights developed by our team.
+ Facilitate the data submission process for hospitals by leveraging available technologies to manage both hospital data content and our classification systems.
+ Proactively engage hospitals with exemplary customer service to coordinate all aspects of the data submission process by providing hospital-specific project management plans with milestones to ensure timely and complete data submissions.
+ Provide support and training to hospital stakeholders on standardization of departments, job codes, general ledger accounts, and charge codes to ensure data comparability and consistency.
+ Conduct regular reviews and audits to maintain high standards of accuracy.
+ Develop and improve routines to produce reliable datasets, which may include building Ad Hoc reports using Tableau and/or Business Objects.
+ Manage and maintain documentation of both processes and terminology strategies to generate repeatable and standardized outcomes.
+ Provide routine status reports, definitions, guideline examples, and collaborate with CHA staff and hospitals to ensure reliable comparisons with significant attention to detail.
+ Work with data management vendors and hospitals to identify data quality checks to implement as part of the data acquisition process.
+ Develop and refine documentation for data content, processes, and terminology mappings that benefit both new and existing hospitals.
+ Coordinate data submission implementation for new hospitals for selected data products.
+ Proactively identify standardization opportunities and implement solutions to ensure quality and comparability for selected content areas.
+ Develop and implement processes to validate new data to ensure the quality of specific database product data loads.
+ Develop and implement processes to validate technical changes made to specific product databases.
+ Identify root causes of data quality issues; develop recommendations for addressing them and present recommendations to the appropriate group.
+ Develop Ad Hoc reports to meet internal report requests.
Required Experience:
What You’ll Bring to CHA
Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge is qualifying.
+ Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, or a related field is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
+ Minimum two years of experience working with database products, data management, data governance, data steward, or related roles.
+ Meticulous and detail oriented.
+ Experience with healthcare data (administrative, billing, etc.) or healthcare analytics is a plus.
+ Significant knowledge of writing SQL queries, developing reports, and working with Microsoft SQL Server environment.
+ Demonstrates data exploration/data profiling skills; ability to uncover data quality and data integration challenges and develop solutions.
+ Knowledge of Access database management.
+ Knowledge of manipulating data in Excel.
+ Excellent project and time management skills.

More About CHA
This pay range shown is a guideline. Min: $68,000 Max: $136,000 Compensation is based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
