What we want
Join the Texas A&M School of Public Health as the Director of Accountability and Strategic Initiatives! In this role, you will work closely with and support the Dean in directing and managin g critical priorities, initiatives, and activities that advance the Dean's agenda. Reporting to the Dean, and working in concert with the Dean and other members of School leadership, the Director will provide strategic and operational direction in support of the School’s mission and vision. This position will work closely with the Associate/Assistant Deans, department heads/directors, and other senior administrators regarding communications, coordination, and implementation of work that is of operational importance to the Dean, ensuring accountability to university and school processes as well as accountability to external accreditors.

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
+ Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience
+ Ten years of related experience in management
Preferred Qualifications
+ Master’s or Doctoral degree in Public Health, Higher Education Administration, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field
+ Experience with institutional accreditation processes, particularly in a school of public health (e.g., CEPH, SACSCOC)
+ Demonstrated success in strategic planning, assessment, and institutional effectiveness in a higher education setting
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
+ Knowledge of accreditation standards and processes (e.g., CEPH, SACSCOC) relevant to schools of public health
+ Understanding of institutional research and data governance practices
+ Familiarity with higher education policy, governance, and organizational structures
+ Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others
+ Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications
+ Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to ensure understanding
Responsibilities
+ Leadership and Strategic Planning: Leads strategic plan development for the unit. Tracks progress on the unit’s strategic plan. Serves on departmental leadership team. Directs unit staff, setting performance standards and accountabilities. Contributes to budget and fiscal operations of the unit.
+ Assessment Oversight: Coordinate assessment efforts across the School by providing guidance, technical assistance, and support to administration, faculty, and staff. Create and maintain systematic processes to measure student learning outcomes. Direct and manage School-wide institutional effectiveness and evaluation processes to meet institutional accreditation goals. Oversee the collection, analysis, interpretation, and dissemination of assessment data.
+ Program Development and Implementation: Develops and implements unit programs. Oversees programs to ensure they align with the unit's mission. Seeks funding for programs to support unit goals.
+ Committee and Association Representation: Serves on various University, division, and departmental committees. Represents the department at various National associations.
+ Compliance and Regulation: Ensures that programs, activities, and services comply with University and State regulations.
