    As a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) at the Post-Acute Care Clinic (PACC ). Under the supervision of a nurse practitioner or physician, the CMA assists in delivering patient-centered care, performing clinical and administrative duties, maintaining medication safety, and helping to reduce wait times. Responsible for scheduling appointments in accordance with the established guidelines in a manner acceptable to provider and patients. As the scheduler, you insure compliance with governmental rules and regulations.

     

    Clinical Support Duties: Room patients and perform intake assessments including vitals, medication reconciliation, and discharge review Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during patient visits and procedures Administer injections and immunizations under provider supervision Conduct point-of-care testing (glucose, urinalysis) and document results accurately

     

    Ensure medication orders are prepared correctly and managed under the clinic’s medication policies (non-narcotic only) Monitor for adverse reactions or post-discharge concerns and escalate as appropriate Administrative & Coordination Duties: Post-patient charges into the EMR the same day of the visit Quality review charges daily through the EMR Schedule follow-up appointments prior to exiting the area Update EMR with visit notes, intake data, and care coordination documentation Coordinate with interdisciplinary, client companies, and pharmacy teams Manage supply inventory and ensure exam rooms are fully stocked and sanitized Participate in quality and compliance audits and support improvement initiatives.

     

    + High school or equivalent, higher education preferred. Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program

    + 1 year of experience in family medicine, internal medicine, or hospital transitional care. Prior experience with EMR documentation and post-discharge workflows is a plus. Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) by AAMA, AMT. BLS certification
