    Description

    We are looking for a detail-oriented Tag and Title Clerk for a luxury automotive dealership in the Memphis, Tennessee area. This long-term contract position involves handling essential tasks related to vehicle sales, including processing titles, registrations, and licensing documents. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, ensuring compliance with state regulations while delivering excellent customer service.

    Responsibilities:

    • Prepare and submit vehicle title and registration documents to the Department of Motor Vehicles with accuracy and timeliness.

    • Verify customer and vehicle information to ensure all sales paperwork complies with state regulations.

    • Process title applications for both new and pre-owned vehicles, maintaining organized records of all transactions.

    • Issue license plates and oversee the delivery of permanent plates to customers.

    • Collaborate with the sales and finance teams to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to vehicle registration.

    • Stay informed on updates to state rules, fees, and procedures to ensure compliance.

    • Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive customer and dealership data.

    • Provide exceptional customer service by answering inquiries and addressing concerns regarding title and registration processes.

    • Utilize tools like Adobe Acrobat and CRM systems to streamline documentation and communication.

    • Handle inbound calls professionally, assisting customers with their registration-related queries.

    Requirements

    *MUST have previous Tag/Title experience in a dealership setting

    • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat and CRM systems for efficient document management.

    • Prior experience in customer service, preferably within the automotive industry.

    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively.

    • Ability to handle inbound calls and provide clear and effective communication with customers.

    • Knowledge of state regulations regarding vehicle titles and registrations is a plus.

    • Excellent problem-solving skills to address and resolve discrepancies in documentation.

    • Familiarity with issuing license plates and processing vehicle registrations.

    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to privacy policies when managing sensitive information.
