    Project Manager — Security OperationsLocation: Urbana, Maryland

    We’re looking for a Project Manager to lead our security operations in Urbana, Maryland. If you’re an experienced leader ready to build strong teams and deliver top-tier service, we want to meet you!

    We are seeking a dynamic and experienced PM to oversee all aspects of our security operations. The successful candidate will ensure the contract meets profitability expectations and plays a crucial role in maintaining efficient scheduling, personnel qualifications, payroll, training, recruiting, and overall compliance with contractual and legal obligations. This position demands strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.

    What You’ll Do:

    Lead & Inspire

    Oversee Project Operations

     

    + Ensure Project requirements are met on time and on budget

    + Build strong partnerships with the client and union representatives

    + Maintain compliance with all state, federal, and company policies.

     

    Manage People & Schedules

     

    + Oversee 24/7 security coverage with clear, efficient scheduling

    + Handle shift changes, call-offs, and emergency backfills as needed

    + Support fair time-off and maintain full staffing levels.

     

    Ensure Quality & Compliance

     

    + Enforce company policies, including attendance and conduct standards

    + Partner with HR on performance issues and progressive discipline

    + Recognize great performance through awards and incentives.

     

    Drive Training & Safety

     

    + Coordinate training and certifications for all personnel

    + Ensure proper weapons safety procedures are followed

    + Support the Safety Officer with quality control and workplace inspections.

     

    Recruit & Support New Talent

     

    + Partner with recruiters to hire and onboard qualified staff

    + Assist with interviews, background checks, and training coordination.

     

    Keep Operations Running Smoothly

     

    + Oversee accurate payroll and timekeeping.

    + Complete reports, maintain training files, and support compliance documentation

    + Perform other duties as needed to support a secure and efficient operation.

    + Proven experience managing security operations or Projects

    + Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills

    + Ability to build trust and communicate effectively with clients, employees, and union representatives

    + Working knowledge of relevant laws, compliance, and best practices in security management.

    Requirements

    Education

    Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Security Management, Project Management)

    Experience

    + Minimum of five (5) years management experience in armed security operations with a contract of similar size and scope

    + Minimum of 5 years’ experience Armed Security within the military, law enforcement, or commercial guard force. Additional years of experience may be substituted for the education

    + Strong knowledge of applicable security laws, firearms safety, and operational procedures.

    + Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse security team.

    + Ethical and professional conduct, ensuring a high level of integrity.

    + Ability to coordinate and collaborate with various departments, including HR, union representatives, and clients

    + Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    + Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

    + Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.

    + Flexibility and adaptability to changing project requirements.

    + Ability to work flexible hours to include weekend, evenings/ nights, and holidays

    Contract Qualifications

    + Ability to meet all contract requirements

    + Be a US Citizen

    + Possess an approved Social Security Card issued by SSA

    + Obtain favorable employment verification through the E-Verify System

    + Possess a current State issued Driver's License or State ID

    + Obtain and maintain a suitability issued by SSA.
