About the role The Test Lab Technician position is responsible for providing support for product development under Engineering management's general supervision. Responsibilities Perform environmental tests on electronic and electromechanical devices in accordance with UL, CSA, IEC and governmental standards Interpret test results, perform data analysis and create written reports Assist in the selection and procurement of supplies Assist in the construction of specialized test fixtures and equipment Provide interpretation of standards Test, maintain and evaluate equipment performance Local Essential Function (Intense Lighting, Anaheim CA): Assemble product samples for testing and evaluation as well as a modest amount of fabrication and or surface finishing as required for any components needed to build the product samples Qualifications Familiarity and use of test equipment Working knowledge of instrumentation and wiring systems Familiarity with UL, CSA, IEC and government standards and test procedures Knowledge of general machine shop work General knowledge of household and industrial electrical devices and wiring in accordance with the National Electric Code Education & Experience Associate's degree in a technical field or engineering (electrical or mechanical) Hands-on experience in a lab environment is required Experience with some of the following tests and equipment: Digital Multi Meter, Volt, Amp, Watt Meters, Oscilloscope, Temperature/Humidity Cabinet, and Thermocouples and temperature testing Experience with Microsoft Office applications Experience in an engineering product development environment is a plus What We Offer Comprehensive benefits include: Medical, dental, and vision insurance programs 401K plans with employer-matching contributions Tuition reimbursement PTO Paid holidays Volunteer time off For more information about benefits, please go to: https://careers.leviton.com/benefits Leviton is an EEO/AA Employer.
