We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Product Development Coordinator to join our fast-paced Product Development team. This role is essential in providing critical administrative and logistical support across various stages of the product lifecycle. The Coordinator will be responsible for managing samples, ensuring accuracy in packaging data, and assisting with key finalization processes, contributing directly to the smooth and efficient execution of our product initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Sample Management:
+ Coordinate the tracking, receipt, unpacking, and organized storage of all product samples (e.g., development samples, packaging proofs, production samples).
+ Manage the timely shipping and delivery of samples to internal teams, external partners, and vendors as required.
+ Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing samples.
Packaging Coordination:
+ Initiate packaging projects within packaging systems (e.g., Capture/Opal, or similar internal databases).
+ Partner with Michaels Global Sourcing Offices or US managed vendors to ensure data entry accuracy and completion within packaging systems (e.g., Capture/Opal, or similar internal databases).
+ Support the team in reviewing final packaging proofs for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to specifications.
+ Assist with the timely release of approved packaging files for production.
Finalization & Planogram (POG) Walk Support:
+ Provide comprehensive support during product finalization stages, including organizing necessary documentation and samples.
+ Assist with the setup and execution of Planogram (POG) walks or similar merchandising review sessions as needed.
PD Operation & Administrative Support:
+ Perform other administrative and coordination duties as assigned to support the overall efficiency of the Product Development team.
+ Assist with meeting scheduling, material preparation, and general office tasks as required.
Required Qualifications
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ 0-2 years of experience in an administrative, coordination, or support role, preferably within a product-focused environment.
+ Exceptional organizational skills and a strong attention to detail.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
+ Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively within a team.
+ Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in a related field.
+ Familiarity with product development processes or consumer goods industry.
+ Experience with data entry in inventory or product management systems.
+ Basic understanding of packaging components or retail merchandising.
