    Disney’s Event Hub team is seeking a Software Developer who will be an outstanding addition to our technology team. This team is responsible for developing internal tooling to solve a number of cross-department problems with streaming data. You’ll be developing internal tooling designed to centralize stream and schema discovery, manage data quality, and empower business to leverage collected data efficiently.

     

    As a Lead Software Engineer, you will collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and product managers to find the best solution for our viewers. You will drive projects end-to-end: designing the initial solution; finding alignment with partner teams; execution of the necessary code; and overseeing the deployment of code to production. Members of the team look to your code and documentation as examples of excellence. You value good-faith collaboration, driving best practices, and promoting excellence on your team.     Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:

    + Design and create internal tooling to solve streaming data problems

    + Engage with clients to determine requirements and test UX changes

    + Implement an internal SPA in Svelte

    + Work with a mix of technical and non-technical stakeholders to solve key business problems

    + Create beautiful and functional dashboards and monitors for streaming teams.

    + Collaborate with data teams to provide robust solutions to common data quality and governance tasks

    Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training:

    Basic Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience

    + 7+ years of relevant front end software engineering experience

    + Experience with Frontend Javascript

    + Proficiency with basic UX design

    + Proficiency with at least one of the following frameworks: React, Svelte, Vue

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Experience with Svelte

    + Experience using Figma

    + Professional experience creating internal tooling

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Experience collaborating to drive organizational change.

     

    The hiring range for this position Seattle, WA is $159,500 - $213,900 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
