    Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children is Hawai'i’s only maternity, newborn and pediatric specialty hospital. It is well recognized as Hawai'i’s leader in the care of women, infants and children. With 253 beds, the not-for-profit hospital delivers 6,000 babies a year, and is also a medical teaching and research facility. Specialty services for patients throughout Hawai'i and the Pacific Region include intensive care for infants and children, 24-hour emergency pediatric and adult care, critical care air transport and high-risk perinatal care. Over 1,400 employees and more than 700 physicians provide specialty care at Kapi'olani. The hospital is home to the Kapi'olani Women’s Center and the Women’s Cancer Center, and offers numerous community programs and services, such as specialty pediatric clinics, the Kapi'olani Child Protection Center and the Sex Abuse Treatment Center.

     

    Through clinical trials, the newest, most promising medications, medical devices, and treatment protocols are made available to patients. The Clinical Trials team at Hawai‘i Pacific Health Research Institute (HPHRI) supports clinical trials within the Hawai‘i Pacific Health network of hospitals to expand our knowledge and better provide top quality medical care to Hawai‘i’s populations. We participate in more than 200 clinical trials a year, working with more than 70 principal investigators who are overseen by our highly trained professional staff of care providers and research managers.

     

    As the Clinical Study Coordinator with the Hawai‘i Pacific Health Research Institute, you will play an integral role in expanding essential health care knowledge and best practices in Hawai‘i. Working at Kapi‘olani Medical Center for Women & Children, you will oversee and support all activities related to the implementation of research protocols with patients and other institute staff. We are looking for someone with exceptional planning and patient care skills, attention to detail and research protocol, ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented atmosphere and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai‘i’s people.

    **Minimum Qualifications:** Registered or licensed clinical health care worker or equivalent combination of education, training and/or related work experience. Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card. Three (3) years research experience in a health care setting or related experience.

    **Preferred Qualifications:** GCP Certification. Previous clinical research experience.
