Description
Overall Purpose: The Sr. CNC Programmer is responsible to write and prove new and existing programs to ensure dimensionally correct machined components. They will need to interpret both drawings as well as 3d models to produce machine instruction and tool selection to ensure both machine efficiency and accuracy.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
+ Program CNC Machines utilizing Mastercam for both Mills and Lathes
+ Review incoming job orders and prepare programs per revision
+ The ability to work with machinists to produce efficient and accurate programs with existing equipment
+ Perform file maintenance
+ Perform First Article Inspection, including molds and segment inspection as required
+ Enter SPC jobs into the computer
+ Collect SPC data on the computer
+ Send and retrieve programs from the main computer
+ Complete daily paperwork
+ Ability to set-up mills and lathes
+ Perform complete inspection of parts
+ Read blue prints
+ Crosstrain in other areas as needed
+ Clean work areas
+ Follow both verbal and written instructions
+ Adhere to 5S Standards
+ Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including, but not limited to, policies for attendance and punctuality and standards for safety
Other Duties:
+ Other duties based on the needs of the Machine Shop

Position Requirements
Qualification Requirements:
+ High School education or equivalent
+ Must possess basic computer skills
+ Minimum 10 years of CNC programming experience
+ Must be capable of programming using Master Cam Mill / Okuma Lathe
+ Must be familiar with Okuma lathes, HAAS milling machines and Daewoo/Fanuc Control
+ Ability to program 5th axis Milling
+ Strong understanding of GD&T
+ Must be capable of performing duties and responsibilities with minimum supervision
+ Able to read and understand blue prints
+ Knowledge of basic measuring tools, calipers, micrometers, comparators and math required
+ Fluent in English (able to read, speak, write and understand)
+ Must be a US Person (US Citizen or Permanent Resident)
Physical Demands:
+ While performing duties of the job, the employee is required to:
+ Regularly stand, walk, and reach with both hands and arms
+ Perform repetitive motions
+ Regularly lift 15+ pounds
+ Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
Work Environment: Machine Shop environment with moderate to high noise level
Must be US Persons based on ITAR definition (US Citizen or Permanent Resident).* This position is expected to be exposed to information which is subject to US export control regulations, i.e. the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
