Senior Accounting Specialist Location: Poughkeepsie, NY Salary: $24.00-$29.00 per hour, based on experience Job Type: Full-Time | On-site At TEG Federal Credit Union, we re more than a financial institution we re a supportive and community-focused team. We re currently seeking a Senior Accounting Specialist to join our Accounting Department in Poughkeepsie, NY. This is a great opportunity for a detail-driven professional with strong accounting experience who s looking to grow in a mission-driven organization. What You ll Do: In this role, you'll be responsible for a variety of complex accounting processes that support the credit union s daily and monthly operations. Your key responsibilities will include: -Balancing general ledger accounts and processing daily/month-end proofs -Handling entries for mortgage loan sales and processing Zelle and Repay reports -Reconciling FHLB, FRB, PSCU, and Alloya reports -Managing fixed assets and prepaids in Banktel -Cross-training and providing backup support across the department -Maintaining accurate, secure, and compliant records What We re Looking For: -3-5 years of relevant accounting or bookkeeping experience -Associate s degree (or equivalent experience); Bachelor s preferred -Strong Excel skills and comfort using calculators, accounting software, and core systems -Detail-oriented, analytical, and organized -Ability to work both independently and collaboratively -Experience in a credit union or financial institution is highly desirable What You ll Get: -Competitive hourly pay: $24-$29 per hour -Health, dental, and vision insurance -401(k) with match + defined benefit pension plan -Paid time off and holidays -Ongoing training and growth opportunities -A positive, team-focused culture Apply NOW for immediate consideration!
