Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive AP/AR Specialist to join our Finance team. This role is responsible for the day-to-day processing of accounts payable and receivable functions, with a particular emphasis on investigating, resolving, and preventing customer deductions and shortages. The ideal candidate will be a critical thinker with strong communication skills who can collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accurate billing, and minimize revenue loss.

Responsibilities:

Accounts Receivable (AR):

• Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding customer invoices.

• Investigate and resolve short-payments, deductions, and shortages by working closely with customers, sales, logistics, and warehouse teams.

• Reconcile customer accounts and ensure proper documentation for all transactions.

• Dispute invalid chargebacks and shortages with supporting documentation.

• Partner with internal teams to identify and track chargebacks

• Assist in cash application and ensure payments are applied correctly.

Accounts Payable (AP):

• Process vendor invoices in a timely and accurate manner.

• Ensure proper coding and approval of invoices according to company policies.

• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.

• Maintain vendor files and ensure tax and compliance documentation is up-to-date.

Requirements

• Proven experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

• Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

• Familiarity with invoice processing and financial documentation.

• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA or similar ERP systems is a requirement.

• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration.

• A background in accounting or finance is preferred.
