Description We are looking for an experienced and proactive IT Director to lead our organization's technology strategy and operations in Springfield, Tennessee. This role involves overseeing IT infrastructure, managing teams, and ensuring technology aligns with business objectives. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a strong technical background and a passion for driving innovation.
Responsibilities:
• Direct and oversee the organization's technology strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and operational efficiency.
• Manage IT infrastructure, including user access, system security, backups, disaster recovery planning, and hardware/software procurement.
• Lead and mentor IT staff, including contract programmers and offshore development teams, to ensure effective collaboration and project execution.
• Research, implement, and manage new technologies to improve system performance and business productivity.
• Develop and enforce security measures to protect organizational data and manage access controls in collaboration with department leaders.
• Provide Tier 3 support by troubleshooting and resolving complex IT issues reported by users.
• Monitor and manage IT budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with other departments to identify and address their technology needs, fostering cross-functional communication.
• Oversee software development projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 10 years of progressive IT experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
• Hands-on experience with systems such as Infor XA and IBM iSeries; familiarity with Microsoft Entra, Office 365, and Azure DevOps is a plus.
• Proven expertise in managing IT infrastructure, networks, and enterprise software solutions.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity policies, disaster recovery planning, and system implementation.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage both local and offshore development teams.
• Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
• Experience negotiating and analyzing software and hardware purchases to ensure business value. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
