    Job Description

    The **Administrative Assistant to the Vice President and Associate Vice President** of Mission and Ministry provides high-level administrative, operational, and governance support to the Vice President, Associate Vice President, and Director of Campus Ministry within the Division of Mission & Ministry. The Administrative Assistant manages daily operations of the Office of Campus Ministry and assists with managing and maintaining calendars for the VP, AVP, and Director; scheduling; coordinating logistics for events and meetings, including Mission and Ministry subcommittee board meetings; serving as a liaison with internal and external constituencies; and organizing data, reports, and other meeting materials and information, either personally prepared or received from others. The Administrative Assistant handles highly sensitive, confidential information and situations requiring the attention of the Vice President. Responsible for interviewing and hiring work-study students and the ongoing supervision of their work in the VP’s office and the Office of Campus Ministry.

     

    Hourly range $25.60 to $32.00. Pay rate commensurate with relevant experience.

    Requirements

    + A bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience is required.

    + A minimum of five years of increasingly complex administrative support experience with some experience working for a high-level administrator.

    + Prior experience coordinating office events and special projects as well as higher education experience is preferred.

    + Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills.

    + Demonstrated organizational skills along with the ability to prioritize the workload.

    + Must be able to handle competing demands in a fast-paced environment.

    + Possesses a high degree of discretion, judgment and diplomacy.

    + Ability to learn and work with office-specific software.

    + Attention to detail and analytical skills

    + Ability to research and find solutions to large and small problems that arise in the course.of an academic school year.

    + Occasional early mornings, evenings and weekend support as needed.
