    Job Description

    The Coding Quality & Operations Specialist will serve an essential role for the Center for the Economics of Ideas. In addition to supporting the Director and CSOM faculty, this position will support the day-to-day technical, administrative and financial operations of the Center, as well as the development and integration of a Center website.

     

    Write code as an individual producer; co-code with other authors; review and test code that others have written. Serve as primary technical contact with external software contractors; Monitoring contractor progress and deliverables on ongoing basis. Develop and integrate Center website; Manage social media posts; develop strategies for improving both web and social-media presence

     

    Responsible for oversight and management of Center’s budget and financial operations - expense reports, vouchers, independent contractors. Department liaison to maintain a service-oriented tone and provide efficient service to faculty, staff and students

     

    Full-Time Equivalent Hiring Range: $62,350 to $77,950; salary commensurate with relevant experience.

    Requirements

    Requirements:

    Bachelor’s degree

     

    0-3 years’ experience with Python, C, software development tool chain; Git; Ability to work in an integrated development environment (IDE); Experience writing documentation that supports user requirements, such as a maintenance request document or Statement of Work; Ability to translate business requirements into functional specifications

     

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Excellent planning and organizational skills; Excellent analytical skills for application and report specification development; Ability to document code and systems according to established standards
