    Job Title: Forklift Operator

    Job Description

    We are seeking a diligent and skilled Forklift Operator/Material Handler to join our team. After three weeks of training, pay will increase to $16.50 per hour for the day shift and $18.25 per hour for the night shift.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate forklift and tow motors safely.

    + Assist in moving materials throughout the plant driver and various stations.

    + Work with the shipping and receiving team to ensure tasks are completed in a timely fashion.

    + Document paperwork when needed while taking inventory counts.

    + Support other areas as needed and directed by supervisor.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience operating machinery in a manufacturing environment.

    + Forklift experience required.

    + Ability to pass a BG and drug screen.

    + Basic computer skills.

    + Understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions.

    + Effectively communicate information and respond to questions from various levels within the organization.

    + Possess basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

    + Perform basic visual quality inspections on products.

    + Maintain the production pace of other team members.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Steel toe work boots required.

    + Utilize various equipment as needed to perform duties.

    Work Environment

     

    The position is based in a manufacturing/production facility that is non-climate controlled. Expect varying weather and temperature conditions, including extreme heat, humidity, and cold. The work week is a minimum of 40 hours, with no certifications, medical requirements, or PPE provided. The physical demands include standing for long periods, typically 12 hours a day, and may involve repetitive motions and frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling of materials and containers.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of DUBLIN, Virginia.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $16.50/hr.
