    The Position

    Administrative Services Officers function as business managers for a large division or major program area or facility, with responsibility for accounting, budgeting and business management of various services and operations.

     

    The Aging and Disability Services Division (ADSD) is currently recruiting for an Administrative Service Officer 3 in Carson City or Reno, Nevada. This recruitment may be used to fill current and future vacancies as they occur in the following program: Fiscal. The incumbent will serve as the division's subject matter expert over cost allocation, grants, and the payroll departments. Additionally, the incumbent will be responsible for the cost allocation plan, cost allocation system, and oversee the agency's payroll department, along with the grant team and all grant reporting. The incumbent develops, implements, and revises policies and procedures related to all cost allocation processes, grants, and fiscal management functions; reviews and anticipates changes to the Division's cost allocation plan; establishes and monitors reporting processes; directs the preparation of financial and statistical reports including program revisions; and develops and maintains financial management budgetary performance analysis reports. This position will travel between Carson City and Reno office.

    To Qualify:

    In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

    Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)

     

    Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, accounting, finance or related field and five years of professional experience including two years of responsibility for two or more major business operations such as grants administration, contract and lease administration, purchasing and warehouse operations, human resources, Information Technology, or facilities maintenance and construction; and three years of experience formulating, developing and analyzing agency budgets; and fiscal management, one year of which was equivalent to an Administrative Services Officer II in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.

    Special Requirements

    A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for these items.

     

    This position requires travel up to 25% of the time.

     

    A valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
