CERTIFICATION/TRAINING:
DOD 8570.1 Level IAT II (Security+ Required, CASP Preferred)
Must have a DoD Security Clearance
Responsibilities and Required Experience:
+ At least 5 years' experience managing networks with Solaris, IRIX, Windows, Alma Linux 8/9 (or Red Hat Equivalent) and Ubuntu 22 Operating Systems, High Performance Computing, and Windows Operating Systems.
+ At least 5 years' experience configuring and managing Microsoft WSUS server for Patch management of classified and unclassified systems.
+ At least 5 years' experience performing DOD IAVA/B monitoring and reporting.
+ Experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting BitLocker, LUKS, Windows and Linux systems
+ Experience with Belmanage/Belsecure and Centrify software.
+ Training and/or Working Knowledge of the following OS': Windows 2016, 2019, Windows 10 (Secure Host Baseline), Ubuntu Linux, Alma Linux (or Red Hat equivalent)
Additional Desired Experience:
+ At least 5 years' experience setting up and configuring security features of UNIX, Window Servers and networking hardware using DOD STIGS, SCAP, Vulnerator and other tools.
+ At least 5 years' experience performing security configuration and management of MS Windows using group policies and registry as well as Windows firewalls.
+ Configuring and managing managed switches
+ Experiencing w/ High Performance Computing platforms including clustered applications, and job scheduling
The Sr. Network Security Cloud Architect is a senior technical professional. As a solution architect, you will own the end to end design of complex, integrated, managed security solution. You will have a keen focus on solving business problems by designing a well architected, scalable, and extensible solution.
This position is a senior, hands-on, technical role that will directly contribute to the overall global enterprise cloud architecture and lead the security vision and strategy around cloud-based applications, across all types (including Infrastructure, Platform, and Software as a Service (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS).
This is a key technical role (individual contributor/manager) that will support a sales and business team delivering solutions to many different business organizations.
As an individual contributor, the Cloud Security Architect will be responsible to gather business and technical requirements from our internal & external customers and reconcile such with security, design and customer experience requirements (from network/cloud to application layers) to design a secure but operationally viable managed security solution.
Responsibilities:
+ Responsible for the end to end architecture for the managed cloud security solutions.
+ Responsible for the IT security architecture roadmap aligning with the business goals and priorities.
+ Responsible for translating the functional design into the managed security solution.
+ Responsible for delivering the end to end security architecture and design artifacts.
+ Complete architecture assessments across projects, prove use of security solutions to support new distributed computing solutions that span private cloud and public cloud services.
+ Works with business and business owners to understand the requirements to design solutions.
+ Shares best practices and lessons learned and continuously updates the technical architecture based on changing technologies in collaboration with other domains, partners and customers. Leads Training & Technical Forums. Is a Formal / Informal mentor.
+ Recommends and participates in the design and implementation of standards, tools, and methodologies.
+ Identify opportunities to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the business solutions.
+ Assists and owns project level of effort estimations.
+ Understands the broad view of the organization's business applications landscape.
+ Recommends and participates in 'Proof of Concept' meetings required to investigate technical possibilities to meet business needs.
+ Develops security solution strategy and roadmaps to create business value with technical solutions.
+ Works with internal and external delivery teams to assist in customer requirements.
+ Security Technology Strategy - Work with engineering, service and business teams to create technology roadmaps.
+ Identifies, recommends, coordinates, and/or conducts informal/formal training sessions to deliver timely knowledge to support teams regarding technologies, processes or tools. Develops and executes strategies to increase Cloud Security knowledge throughout the corporation, as well as developing and mentoring more-junior security analysts and engineers.
+ Ability to communicate and work seamlessly in a dynamic team.
+ Works as the subject matter expert for design, capabilities and implementation.
+ Design and develop security architectures for cloud and cloud/hybrid based systems.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor degree or advanced degree a plus.
+ Minimum of five years of hands-on Network and IT Security experience, with a broad knowledge of development platforms, technology, languages, and technologies.
+ Experience representing technical viewpoints to diverse audiences and in making timely and prudent technical risk decisions.
+ Deep understanding of modern cloud stacks including control plane services, automation, multi-tenancy, hypervisor-VM models, memory management, and containerization models.
+ Understanding of network technologies including SDN, dynamic routing, multiple routing contexts (VRF), VLAN's, and large-scale network designs.
+ Practical experience with deploying VPN's, Firewalls, End-point and SIEM products
+ Minimum of five years of experience as an end to end Security Solution Architect.
+ Experience designing and implementing with API's, SQL, XML, HDFS, JSON, AVRO, DSV, and HTML.
+ Experience in business process architecture, application system design, and implementation.
+ Creative visionary that leads new product and feature programs/partnerships that bring value to the solution.
+ Excellent planning and design skills.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Technical writing experience
+ Experience in working with an entrepreneurial team to deliver solutions.
