    Overview:

    INTECON, LLC is seeking an experienced NIST AI RMF Project Manager to support the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) AI RMF Standards and Crosswalk Analysis Program.

     

    This role will oversee the technical execution, stakeholder engagement, standards monitoring, and compliance alignment activities to advance NIST's AI Risk Management Framework (AI RMF) in line with Executive Order 14179 and OMB Memoranda M-25-21 and M-25-22.

     

    This is an ideal opportunity for a mission-driven AI policy and standards expert who excels in strategic analysis, international engagement, and high-impact project delivery.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Serve as the Project Lead for a multi-year NIST contract focused on harmonizing international AI standards with U.S. federal risk management policy.

    + Develop and maintain a comprehensive project work plan, manage contract kick-off, and coordinate stakeholder communications.

    + Provide monthly status reports, organize team workflows, and deliver briefing materials to senior NIST leadership.

    + Lead crosswalk analyses comparing the NIST AI RMF with key international and domestic AI policy frameworks.

    + Attend and contribute to international AI standards meetings (e.g., ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 42 and INCITS-AI); produce meeting reports and inform NIST strategy.

    + Facilitate the integration of NIST's AI RMF principles into global standards development communities.

    + Monitor evolving trends in Trustworthy and Responsible AI, regulatory developments, and stakeholder priorities to shape AI governance practices.

    + Coordinate technical input and strategic recommendations to the NIST Trustworthy AI Program and the Chief AI Officer (CAIO).

    + Produce final contract reports, knowledge products, and publication-ready deliverables aligned with AI RMF functions (Map, Measure, Manage, Govern).

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelors degree in science, engineering, social science, law, or technical communications.

    + 10+ years delivering high-quality communication products to private or public sector stakeholders.

    + 5+ years communicating AI policy and standards matters to senior stakeholders, including C-suite, federal executives, or international forums.

    + Strong background in AI ethics, emerging technologies, standards development, or technology policy.
