    Overview

     

    i3 is seeking a mid-level Software Developer with expertise in Jira and experience working with OpenShift to support a dynamic software integration facility. This role requires a customer-centric approach and involves providing technical solutions and support for both the development and cybersecurity teams, as well as the broader user base.

    Responsibilities

    + Develop, maintain, customize and support software applications and integration solutions within a DevSecOps environment.

    + Contribute to the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of software components across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

    + Develop and support custom solutions within Jira, including workflows, dashboards, fields, filters, and automation rules.

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement releases, epics, user stories, tasks, and sprints in Jira.

    + Integrate Jira with other development and CI/CD tools and systems, including OpenShift and Git-based pipelines.

    + Design and deploy applications and services on Red Hat OpenShift, including containerizing applications using Docker and managing deployments with Kubernetes.

    + Create and maintain technical documentation for both development and system configuration tasks.

    + Identify and troubleshoot issues across Jira and OpenShift environments, including performance tuning and system debugging.

    + Implement enhancements and improvements in Jira, OpenShift, and custom software tools to meet client needs.

    + Understand and apply cybersecurity best practices, including DISA STIGs, RMF, and system hardening, during software development and system configuration.

    + Stay current with relevant technologies and industry trends, particularly in software development, CI/CD, and cloud-native platforms.

    Qualifications

    + BS and 3 years of relevant experience required.

    + Ability to obtain and maintain DoD 8140/8570.01-M compliance, as required.

    + Ability to attain and maintain SECRET Clearance.

    + Ability to work with little or no direct supervision and in a team environment.

    + Must have Excellent Customer Service Skills.

    + Strong experience with python, satellite, ansible is a plus.
