The Buyer is responsible for purchasing and planning raw materials, components, and services to meet production and customer requirements. As the Buyer, you will play a vital role in the procurement process by sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services for our organization. You will be responsible for ensuring that the procurement activities align with the company's goals and objectives, while also maintaining efficient and cost-effective purchasing procedures. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Create and manage multiple purchase orders based on MRP demand actions
+ Work with internal & external vendors to ensure items are ordered correctly and on time
+ Create and manage/track production work orders
+ Provide management with visibility of inventory related issues
+ Coordinate Supplier request for quotations (RFQ's)
+ Understanding and constantly evaluating demand changes and impact on materials, work orders and related schedule
+ Reschedule purchase/work orders based on demand changes including potential expediting
+ Ensure material related documentation i.e. CofC's, are requested & received as required
+ Other duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

+ Minimum 2 year's experience in Purchasing/Planning in production or aerospace preferred.
+ Solid understanding of supply chain including buying, vendor management, process controls, quality, production and logistics
+ Experience with MRP/ERP systems (Epicor preferred)
+ Team oriented with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
+ Must be able to follow instructions and procedures and work with minimal supervision.
+ Must be capable of reading drawings and inspecting the work being performed.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 6 months related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to speak and understand basic safety and manufacturing instructions.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers. Ability to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Authorization to work in the United States. To conform to U.S. export control regulations, you should be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government.
