Education / Training:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation logistics, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
• Proven experience with international freight operations and internal fleet management

Key Job Elements:
Strategic Oversight
•Develop and implement global transportation strategies that optimize cost and service.
•Lead carrier selection, contract negotiation, and performance management across all transportation modes.
•Collaborate with procurement and regional logistics teams to align transportation plans with business goals.
Operational Execution
•Oversee daily transportation operations, including booking, routing, and tracking of shipments.
•Ensure timely and accurate documentation for international shipments (e.g., SLI, PTA, load sheets).
•Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with freight forwarders to ensure service reliability, proactive issue resolution, and continuous improvement in global logistics performance.
•Supervise the internal fleet of trucks and drivers, ensuring efficient dispatching, routing, and delivery performance.
•Coordinate the booking of vessels for locomotive shipments, ensuring alignment with project timelines and capacity requirements.
Fleet & Driver Management
•Oversee scheduling, maintenance, and compliance for the internal fleet of trucks.
•Manage driver performance, safety training, and regulatory adherence.
•Implement telematics and fleet management systems to improve visibility and efficiency.
Risk Management
•Maintain awareness of global logistics risks and develop contingency plans.
Performance & Cost Management
•Monitor KPIs such as on-time delivery, cost per shipment, and carrier performance.
•Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising service quality.
•Leverage data analytics to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
Team Leadership
•Manage and develop a global team of transportation coordinators and analysts.
•Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and customer service excellence.
Travel: 30%-50%
Qualifications and Experience:
• Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain management principles.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS) and other relevant software.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and safety standards.
• Experience: Experience in a similar industry or with specific types of products relevant to the organization.
• Certifications: Professional certifications such as Certified Transportation and Logistics (CTL) or similar is a plus.
