Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in healthcare security? Emory Healthcare is hosting an exclusive **Interview Day** for individuals interested in joining our team as **Armed Public Safety Officers** at **Emory John’s Creek** and **Emory Saint Joseph’s Hospitals** .

This is your opportunity to meet our hiring leaders, interview on-site, and explore a rewarding career in public safety at one of Georgia’s leading academic health systems.

Eligibility to Interview

To participate in the interview event, candidates **must meet the minimum qualifications for either role** listed below:

Armed Public Safety Officer** **– Minimum Requirements:

+ **Two (2) consecutive years** of armed security, military, or law enforcement experience **within the last 7 years**

+ Must meet **one** of the following:

+ Possess(ed) a **P.O.S.T. certification** , **OR**

+ Be registered through the **military** (DD214 or current Military ID) – _All active, reserve, retired, or honorably discharged personnel qualify_ , **OR**

+ Hold a **federal, state, or local firearms license/certification** (e.g., Department of Homeland Security, NASA, NRA, GBI, Secretary of State)

+ Must successfully complete the **Basic Security Officer and Firearms Course** (mandated by the Secretary of State) within **3 months post-hire**

+ Must complete training to carry **non-lethal weapons** (Taser and/or baton) within **3 months post-hire**

+ Must possess a **valid Georgia driver’s license** and have a **clean driving record**

+ Must be able to **operate a company vehicle**

+ Must **pass a psychological exam**

+ Must obtain the following within 12 months of hire:

+ **IAHSS Basic Certification**

+ **BLS Certification**

+ Must complete **FEMA IS 100, 200, 700 & 800** within **6 months of hire**
