Job Description
Insight Global's client is a designer and manufacturer of parts for the DOD. As the company continues to grow, they are seeking a Proposal Engineer to come support their team in Naples, FL. This position develops and manages proposals for engineering projects ensuring they align with the customer needs for both recurring and new business development opportunities. Coordinating with clients and internal departments, incoming proposals are reviewed for viability along with execution to ensure deadlines and expectations are met in response to Requests for Proposals (RFPs). This position requires exceptional analytical, communication and organizational skills including cost estimation and the preparation of technical documentation.
Essential Functions:
1. Compile technical proposals including compliance matrices, enclosures, and non-recurring cost in response to customer specifications and statements of work.
2. Identify internal cost and resources required for successful implementation of new programs
sustaining profitable financial growth to the company.
3. Ability to identify and mitigate potential risks related to customer requirements, product design,
testing, production, and scheduling.
4. Manage internal inputs/outputs from Contracts, Quality, Engineering, Purchasing and Operations
to effectively respond to highly advanced and comprehensive proposals.
5. Ability to extract historical data using various tools to analyze and construct a cost basis for both labor and material. Review and build budgetary costs and pricing establishing consistent product
pricing.
6. Build strong customer relations through upfront engagement, continuous follow-ups and timely
responses to initial trade studies, RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs.
7. Assist in the accurate maintenance of the companys CRM system ensuring conformity to
companys ERP system.
8. Provide accurate feedback to Proposal Manager/BD Executive Director required to forecast bookings and revenues.
9. Contribute to the preparation of Sales performance reports.
10. Adhere to the departments ISO documentation control, processes and policies. Support yearly audits as required.
11. Complete all required trainings including but not limited to Security Awareness, Controlled
Unclassified Information (CUI), S.H.E. (Safety, Health, and Environmental), Ethics, Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking, Quality and all performance/product related trainings.
12. Attend trade shows, when appropriate, seeking BD prospects while representing our company
with the highest standards of professionalism.

Skills and Requirements
- 5-10+ years of experience
- Need to come from manufacturing and specifically within DOD or government
- Sales/Costing experience
- MS Suite and CRM experience - Exposure to some sort of design software or 3D modeling software
- Understanding of mechanical and/or electrical engineering null
