• Sr. Systems Architect/ Engineer

    Job Description

    Insight Global is looking for a Senior Systems Architect/Engineer in Duncan, Oklahoma for large oil & gas services provider. This person will be joining the Duncan Technology Support Team, where they will be responsible for the technical software system architecture, data management, system and file based security, custom development and scripting. There are around 40 servers, on-prem and virtual, in which some of these servers hold extreme amounts of data and this person will be responsible for future build outs, secondary support to engineers, migration and upgrades of the servers, etc. Additionally, this person will be replicating the systems within SolidWorks and performance testing on the servers and printers. They will setup and install virtual servers and virtual windows systems, including print servers and license servers along with SQL server and install management through a service company of theirs. Specifically, install and set up Windows OS (10 and 11) and Server OS, along with setting up a System level backup plus analyze and determine best backup strategy for specific environments. They also will be working on, Windows Active Directory management, IP and vLAN Network configurations, server hardware design/specs (for servers and backup systems), analyzing and specifying high-end user Windows workstation hardware specs, Intellectual Property security awareness and adherence, and export compliance and adherence. It is imperative that this person is a problem solver and analytical thinker to help bridge the gap between the technology and engineers. The pay range is $65-$80/hour. This person will be on-site 5 days a week in Duncan, OK.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    10+ years of experience in System Architecture

     

    STEM Degree (Technology, Science, Engineering, Mathematics)

     

    Ability to tackle complex technical issues without a lot of assistance

     

    Demonstrated leadership skills and persistence in problem-solving

     

    Ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.

     

    Experience in a C# Programming Environment - Custom development utilizing the tools: Robocopy, Shop Batch Printing, and Winbatch, VB in Visual Studio

     

    Experience in system-level programming

     

    Understanding of IP and vLAN Network Configurations, Intellectual Property security awareness and adherence, and export compliance and adherence

     

    Windows OS and Server OS Installation

    SQL Server Management - understanding how to back up and restore null
