• Sr. Site Reliability Engineer

    Job Description

    This team is FinOps for the AWS infrastructure across the enterprise, advising on architecture, cost optimization, and building out automation and tooling. They are looking for a senior-level SRE to support infrastructure, automation, observability, and monitoring of their AWS ecosystem.

     

    - Solution AWS hardening and security, and evolve network architecture, design, and infrastructure

     

    - Produce architecture blueprints to guide cloud solution development across multiple products, ensuring alignment with technology and product roadmaps

     

    - Provide expertise in developing and maintaining architecture standards and solutions aligned with strategic goals

     

    - Partner with product managers, business analysts, designers, and engineers to navigate solution decisions and present compelling recommendations

     

    - Define operational procedures, KPIs, health checks, monitoring, and escalation processes

     

    - Automate data pipelines and accelerate development for roadmap features and customer requirements

     

    - Identify risks and pain points, and implement mitigation strategies

     

    - Improve internal processes and promote knowledge sharing through documentation, blogs, and internal training

     

    - Capture project lessons and convert them into architectural best practices; mentor and coach team members

     

    - Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to review customer feedback and identify platform enhancement opportunities

     

    - Expertise in enterprise cloud solutions across public, private, and hybrid environments

     

    - Strong understanding of Internet technologies and protocols (TCP/IP, VPN, SSL, HTTP)

     

    - Hands-on experience with AWS, OpenStack, VMware, and networking/load balancing technologies

     

    - Experience designing high availability and disaster recovery infrastructures

     

    - Development experience with database or application integration technologies

     

    - Deep knowledge of Linux fundamentals and open-source architectures

     

    - Proven experience with scalable, fault-tolerant systems and agile/scrum methodologies

     

    Pay Rate: $80/hour, depending on level and years of experience.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    - 7-10+ years of DevOps experience

     

    - 5+ years of hands-on AWS

     

    - Python

    - Terraform and/or CloudFormation - AWS certification null
