Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Industrial Welder to join a global leader of dredging solutions in Baltimore, MD. A dredge is a massive, industrial machine that removes sediment from underwater and transports it elsewhere, so this Welder will work with cutting-edge industrial maritime components. This is a full-time, permanent role with competitive compensation and excellent benefits package.

In this role, the Welder will work on large tables making assemblies in a controlled environment. To be successful in this role, it is imperative for this individual to have excellent welding and fitting experience, and be able to take 15+ components, conceptualize the end product, and complete the assembly. This welder will be welding and fitting assemblies like large bearings, cranes, and housings. This role is predominately focused on horizontal welding.

This role requires a weld test as part of the interview process, so all candidates must be comfortable welding at a D1.1-certified level.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

- Fitting industrial hydraulic assemblies (assembling and aligning components before they are permanently joined)

- Welding industrial maritime structural assemblies

- Reviewing and using blueprints to complete weld and fit tasks

- Working in a large, industrial plant environment with frequent noise

Skills and Requirements

- Previous experience working on dredges - D1.1 welding certification or equivalent ability

- 5+ years of experience in industrial steel welding

- Previous experience working with very large assemblies in an industrial plant environment

- Previous experience in shipbuilding or maritime assemblies null
