    ThePatient Service Representative(PSR) plays a pivotal role in healthcare settings, serving as the initial point of contact for patients and visitors. This Patient Services role involves a blend of administrative and customer service tasks essential for the smooth operation of medical facilities. The PSR aims to enhance patient satisfaction by ensuring a seamless interaction from the moment a patient enters to their follow-up visit.

    Responsibilities

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but are not limited to):

    + Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment. Accurately verify and update patient information during the check-in process.

    + Manage and schedule patient appointments, balancing provider availability and patient needs.

    + Verify patient insurance information and eligibility prior to appointments.

    + Maintain electronic health records (EHR) with precision, ensuring privacy and compliance with HIPAA regulations.

    + Manage complaints or concerns with empathy, escalating issues to management when necessary.

    + Work collaboratively with healthcare providers and staff to coordinate patient care seamlessly.

    + Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including mail, emails, and faxes.

    Qualifications

    + Previous experience in a medical setting is preferred.

    + Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

    + High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.

    + Customer service experience preferred.
