Glimpse of the Job:
The Program Coordinator will provide direct support to Faculty Affairs Executive Director, Program Manager, and Associate Deans and will provide coordination for day-to-day operations for Faculty Affairs related programs.
Opportunities to Contribute:
+ Act as the primary point of contact for the ArtSci Faculty Affairs Office, providing administrative support to the Faculty Affairs Team, including three Associate Deans, the Executive Director, and the Program Manager.
+ Conduct the scheduling, travel coordination, correspondence, and organization of meetings and events related to faculty affairs programs during the week, some evenings and weekends.
+ Coordinate the processing of all faculty affairs documentation for the College of Arts & Sciences Dean’s Office, including hiring, joint appointments, leaves, alternate work locations, administrative appointments, and tenure and promotion notifications.
+ Oversee faculty records management and maintain the faculty database.
+ Provide guidance, support, and training to College of Arts & Sciences departments on faculty systems, including Interfolio, Hiring Workflow, and Faculty180.
+ Assist with special projects for the faculty affairs office under the direction of the Executive Director of Faculty Affairs.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Two years of additional related work experience.
A well-qualified candidate may also possess:
+ Experience with scheduling applications (Outlook, Doodle polls, etc.).
+ Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation applications.
+ Ability to organize work effectively and prioritize objectives with a high level of discretion and independent judgment and initiative.
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
+ Planning and organization skills.
+ Ability to work with a variety of groups and be helpful, respectful, approachable, and team oriented.
+ Ability to build strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
Salary: Compensation will be commensurate based on the selected candidate's education and experience.
Special Note: This is on in-person opportunity but will require working on/off campus outside of normal business hours to attend events and coordinate programs as part of the essential duties of this position. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
