We are seeking a highly skilled Dry Etch Equipment Engineer to join our team in Marcy NY. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, optimization, and development of dry etch equipment used in semiconductor manufacturing. This role requires a solid understanding of etching processes, equipment functionality, and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues. Equipment Maintenance : Perform regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on dry etch tools to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. Data Analysis : Analyze equipment performance data and metrics to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement. Collaboration : Work closely with process engineers, production, and quality teams to ensure equipment performance meets production requirements and standards. Documentation : Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, process recipes, and performance metrics in line with industry standards. Compliance : Ensure that all processes and equipment adhere to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Training and Support : Train and support technicians and operators on the operation and maintenance of dry etch equipment. Project Management : Manage projects related to equipment upgrades, modifications, and new tool installations. Qualifications: Education : Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field. Experience : Minimum of 5 years of experience in semiconductor equipment engineering, specifically with dry etch processes. Technical Skills : Strong knowledge of dry etch systems (e.g., ICP, RIE). Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing processes and cleanroom protocols. Proficiency in data analysis tools and equipment diagnostics. Problem-Solving : Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Communication : Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams. Team Player : Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with specific dry etch equipment manufacturers (e.g., Applied Materials). Knowledge of CAD and simulation tools for equipment design and modification. Understanding of statistical process control (SPC) and quality improvement methodologies. The posted salary range is what Wolfspeed reasonably expects to pay for this position. Actual pay for a hired applicant will be determined based on the individual’s job-relevant qualifications, experience, and other determinative factors. In the event it is determined that a different job level upon hire is warranted then that range will be communicated to the hired applicant as soon as reasonably practicable.
