About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Finance Analyst to support the Funds Transfer Pricing process. This is an important function where profitability is determined for lending and depository activities. This is an enterprise function that will require the Lead Finance Analyst to establish a knowledge base in the bank's balance sheet products, including loans, deposits, and other balance intensive products. The analyst will be a subject matter expert on profitability reporting and will interact with many areas of the institution. The analyst will also help manage the platform, including data flows, controls, change design, change testing, and platform enhancement and/or replacement. The analyst will interact with many areas of the institution and represents an excellent opportunity for an individual to gain detailed knowledge of how banking works.
In this role, you will:
+ Lead complex initiatives on matters related to financial research and reporting as well as financial consulting related to business performance
+ Provide companywide advice and technical expertise on matters related to complex financial analysis as well as economic research in support of management decision making functions
+ Research strategies and make recommendations for forward financial planning through the provision of granular loan profitability baseline starting points
+ Provide support to more experienced professionals in the management of product pricing, portfolio performance, closing research and validation
+ Review technical challenges that require evaluation or multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors
+ Make decisions in maintaining effective and efficient reporting delivery that meets brand standards and internal control standards
+ Lead implementation of the most complex initiatives impacting multiple lines of business companywide
+ Meet deliverables and drive new initiatives with solid understanding of policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
+ Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
+ Function as Alternative Application Business Owner, with responsibility of software release approvals, including change policy adherence
+ Participate in platform migration efforts to modernize the tool, which may involve vendor interaction, in-house creation, and substantial technical team interaction
+ Respond to many inquiries from various lines of business, and executive-level request
+ Coordinate with internal risk constituencies, including Audit, COSO, and Model Risk Management
Required Qualifications:
+ 5+ years of Finance experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
+ This position will require both technical finance knowledge and systems knowledge, so the preferred candidate will have demonstrated experience with application administration and functional finance
+ Much reporting is required through PowerBI. Experience in this tool is a plus.
+ Intricate variables on loan structure are needed for loan profitability, so experience in loan product design and/or profitability is preferred
+ The ability to handle complexity and communicate simply is necessary, as this is a "details" position
+ Systems administration experience is desired, as a material demand in this position is to collect change requests, prioritize change, and effectively install and communicate change
+ The underlying technology will be refreshed, so material involvement in platform upgrade/replacement is favorable
+ The team uses Jira for work tracking, knowledge in the Jira tool is a plus

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$119,000.00 - $206,000.00
